Douglas – Beery Field

A great place for kids and families visiting Saugatuck. Beery Field has a playground place for kids to run around, a field for kids to play football, soccer, frisbee and whatever they want and a baseball field for the kids who like baseball. There are several picnic tables in the park as well as public restrooms.

Douglas – Schultz Park & Dog Park

The beautiful Schultz Park is a 20-acre nature preserve located on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. The water is relatively shallow, creating an excellent place to find shorebirds. The park also has excellent amenities available, including a boat launch, picnic pavilion, restrooms, a playground and a dog park.

Wades Bayou in Downtown Douglas, known for being the perfect fishing or

kayak launch spot, is also a beautiful location to watch the sunrise, or view

some wildlife.

Saugatuck – Tails N Trails Dog Park

This community dog park offers six acres of safe, off-leash play for owners

and their pups.

Saugatuck – Village Square

2.5-acre centrally located park at the three corners of the intersection of

Butler and Main Street. The park has both active and passive zones with the

northwest corner of the park containing the Children’s playground (updated in

2024) and serves as the site of Memorial Day/Veterans Day festivities.

A grassy, riverfront park perfect for a picnic while boat-watching. A charming

gazebo and convenient public restrooms available. Fishing allowed.

South Haven – Friends Good Will Splash Pad

This incredible new lakefront splash pad provides a wonderful alternative

water play environment for kids and families! Modeled after the Michigan

Maritime Museum’s tall ship Friends Good Will, the splash pad will provide kids

with great memories and experiences. Located just east of South Beach on

the Black River channel.

South Haven – Riverfront Park

Nestled on the banks of the Black River and located just one block west of

downtown South Haven, Riverfront Park provides an ideal setting for a

summer concert. Visitors will enjoy views of boats traveling on the river, as

well as fantastic sunsets over Lake Michigan.
